I upgraded to 2.5 a while ago. I can't remember what version I had before and whether or not it was a required upgrade (for compatibility). At the point of upgrade I immediately noticed some problems but was too busy to try to do anything about it, but now I am revisiting...
The two main things I'm noticing are:
1. A strange tone that sometimes plays that doesn't track the keyboard. This happens only on certain patches and usually when I'm playing more than one note. I think maybe sometimes the after touch triggers it. For example, I play one note and its fine. Then I play a second note and I get that note + a third random note that is always the same no matter what keys I press.
2. The instrument seems much more out of tune in general than it use to be.. like the oscillators are drifting a lot more than before. I know there is a certain amount of drift built in on purpose for authenticity, but it seems more exaggerated now....
I'm on macOS Catalina (10.15.7) using MainStage 3 and the latest version of Logic Pro (whatever that is)
I really miss using the ME80. Any advice?
Thanks Bill

This is a rare problem that I have been reported ca. 3 times. It only seems to happen on a few systems. We have never been able to replicate the problem. No matter how I torture ME80 it will not behave like this . So we have no idea what causes it. Now that I got the 3 bug report about it, I believe there is a problem. The 3 bug reports have been years apart, and on Mac only I think. So all versions from the 2.0 build have been affected by this problem for a few users.
All the best gunnare

Hi All I'm really loving the ME80. It sounds ( or rather "sounded" excellent). I'm having big issues with the ME80 at this moment. A resonant tone is constantly audible in almost all sounds, and whatever i do I can not find any settings makes it dissapear. In the beginning it turned up occasionally, but now it is everywhere , rendering the ME80 useless. :-( really
I found the other report about this. Seems to be windows. So might be connected to certain hardware?
I have included a sound example for you to check.
This soundsample is using standard presents only.
Is this a known issue?, Please advice what i can do to mitigate this,
- I have tried multiple sound cards URM28M, MONTAGE, Asio4all, windows native, generic soundcard. - I have tried reinstalling. nothing seems to work.
