Hi, I am assigning some CC#s (from an Native Instruments S49 MK2) to parameters in the ME80. I have found that CC# 88 seems to be controlling something in the ME (volume/tone) even though I have nothing assigned to that CC#. I've checked all windows no control is moving or assigned to CC# 88. This seems to happen as I toggle between 0 and 127 and play new notes. A sustained note will not change. Is there a way to view the list of assigned CC#s? Any thoughts?
Thanks for your time, B-

This is the CC numbers pre-set in ME80: I must explore more to find CC88. It is not connected to anything as far as I remember. I have to check.
CC1 Mod wheel CC2 Breath control (routed to the aftertouch system inside the synth). CC7 Master volume CC11 Expression pedal. Routed to the Wah section in ME80. There is a selector in ME80 to select exp, wah or exp+wah. CC25 pre EQ mid band freq (can be unlearned).EQ band CC's are pre-set for the Novation Launchpad mini knobs 5,6,7,8. CC26 pre EQ mid band gain (can be unlearned). CC27 post EQ mid band freq (can be unlearned). CC28 post EQ mid band gain (can be unlearned). CC64 Normal Sustain pedal , or longer release when the "Sustain foot switch" is activated, and portamento off/on when the "Portamento foot switch" is activated.
CC values between 0-127 can be used. As you see above there are only a few pre-set CC numbers, so you can easily make your own setup.
To do midi-learn from a keyboard controller: 1 Right click any slider or button on the ME80 GUI and the learn dialogue will turn up. 2 If you know the CC number already, click in the open field and select the number from the list. 3 Or you can siply move a knob on your keyboard controller, and ME80 will learn it and display the CC number it learnt. 4 Just click "OK" to close the window and proceed to next slider.
This is from another post I made. (CC TUTORIAL).
When you have finished you will want to save the setup. There are 3 ways to save the settings you have made: 1 You can save the first patch1 in the bank, and the CC setup will be saved in the patch. 2 You can save the song in your DAW and the CC setup will be saved with your song 3 You can click on the "File" button and select: "Save midi CC map" . Later you can load it by selecting "Load midi CC map".
If you just close the song without saving the patch, without saving the song or without saving the CC setup from the file-menu , then all your hard work to set up the CC numbers will be lost.
If you do something wrong it is easy to fix: Just right click the slider , click on the number and a list will appear. Click "none" from the list.

OK, did some more testing. CC#88 is affecting the Initial Brilliance & Level values (both voice channels). No CC# is assigned to either. With the initial controls at zero toggling CC#88 between 0 & 127 (playing a new note after each toggle) will not change the timbre. Doing the same with the initial controls at any other level will create a timbre change as the CC is toggled and a new note played after each toggle. Also, it seems that the initial level control does not alter the level that much in general. Oh, and how about having the current panel selection (kybd,eq,etc.) be saved with the preset. This is with V. 2.5

Can anyone else confirm that CC#88 appears to be mapped to the Initial Controls?

I was able to recreate this problem with the first rev of ME80 version 2.5. But when I installed the latest rev of ME80 version 2.5 with the fixed reverb problem, the issue was gone. Please download the latest version of ME80 using the same download links, and I think the issue will be solved!
All the best gunnare
