For some reason the Me 80 dll won't work on my new used computer. The plugin which has worked great on 5 computers (at least 1 is offline most of the time), just won't start in savihosts, Live Professor says plugin failed, Studio 1 doesn't seem to see it. Arturia synths are working fine.
What is going on? is this plugin using quantum computing or Jesus hand to determine that it has been installed on 5 computers? Cause as far as I can see there is no communication between it and the internet that could tell it it has been placed on some max number of computers.
I have installed in the same way I had on the previous 5 computers on which it worked fine. The new computer is a typical 1809 install of Windows 10.
It is hard setting up a new computer. I will gladly remove ME 80 from one of the other computers, if it will make it work on the new computer.
Anyone got any idea what is preventing it?

You can install ME80 on as many computers as you wish. Both at home and at work.
New Win10 systems don't have all the historical runtime dlls installed. Maybe you will have to put msvcp100.dll and msvcr100.dll manually in the C:/windows/system folder.(That is the path on my win10 computer. ) The files are available from Microsoft. I had to do this to make ME80 run on my win10 computer. The trick is to get the files in the correct folder.

When I first posted the thread I'd tried all the likely things, like uninstalling. It wouldn't show up in S1 scan at all then. I did notice that it wouldn't install at all today until the remove feature had been done first. I mean the .dll file did not show up in VstPlugins until after the uninstall first. Then it did.

This was fixed on my Win10 Pro/64 bit system, by installing the latest Visual C++ redistributable package:
aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exelinkIf this does not work for anyone, please post a reply here and I'll look further into the configuration on this end. In a nutshell, it's pretty stock.
