How does the "morph" button in each synthline work?
"MORPH" is the morph time between the 22 yamaha colored preset buttons.
How to use it: Set morph to full. Try to select different presets like FUNKY3 or ORGAN1, and ME80 will morph slowly between those presets.
It works best with presets that use the same waveforms and same filter models. Otherwise you will hear a click when it shift preset, and then it will not give a feeling of morphing.
Best way to use it: Default preset for synthline1 is PANEL1 Default preset for synthline2 is PANEL2
Use the "copy from" function to copy the PANEL1 and PANEL2 sounds to all the coloured yamaha presets. (Where you see OFF text). Select "copy from PANEL1" for synthline1, and "copy from PANEL2" for synthline2. Then do variations of that sound with different env, cutoff and resonance in all the colored preset buttons.
You can then slowly morph the sound by selecting different yamaha presets. And you can use midi-learn to control the yamaha presets from a controller. Synthline1 yamaha preset has one cc number Synthline2 yamaha preset has one cc number.
It is so simple: Right click any of the 22 colored yamaha presets - then move your hardware controller and click OK.
