Hi, I'm testing the ME80. It seems a great CV-80 emulation. Unfortunately, I was testing the ME80 demo and noticed this strange behavior: Hitting (playing) the same key note in a rapid sequence (for this exercise I used the C3 note), the key produces the note sound each time it is played (as expected), but if one presses the Sustain Pedal, the key note does not play anymore even if one keeps playing the key note (with the sustain pedal action - ON). I tested this with several sounds/presets, and the result was always the same. Is this an expected behavior, or something else? All my VSTi instruments always trigger the note sound with, or without the Sustain pedal action pressed - ON. Hope this can be fixed, else, it won't help me much to buy this nice VSTi instrument. You you fell curious about me, you can always listen this. ;-) www.facebook.com/ben.martin.96387/videos/1860313127317775/Cheers.

Ok, never mind, I figured it out.
The sustain pedal response is based on config parameters oh the ME80 UI switches. Nonetheless, the lack of response on this forum is... well... disappointing to say the least.

I come here every once in a while... but it's hard keeping the party going or even getting it started alone The sustain settings on the ME80 are a bitch. The right settings are in there.. but you have to set them for every preset. Which is just a hastle. I wish you could separate these settings from the presets.

I actual don't get the ME80 to react to the sustain pedal the same way like on all other synths. 1.)With the "Sustain Foot Swith Mode" set to "OFF: Normal Note Hold" it holds the notes but doesnt allows to retrigger them. 2.)With the "Sustain Foot Swith Mode" set to "ON: Sustain Master Control" it holds the notes and allows to retrigger them but it applies also a release curve to the Sustain/Hold Stage, like on a Piano. What i would expect, is that when i set it to "OFF: Normal Note Hold" that it holds the notes and allows to retrigger them (without a fancy release curve in the sustain stage.

Yes, that is a bug. It should be possible to retrigger voices when you hold the pedal down.
Sustain foot switch means: Only release stage activated when pedal is down. So you switch the release off/on with the sustain pedal.
All the best gunnare
